Rental facilities Available


The Club currently has four areas that can be rented for private functions: the Bougainvillea Room, Restaurant, Outpost Pub and the Rooftop. The Board of Directors wishes to promote full use of these
facilities. The following rules apply regarding facility rentals.

Who May Book Functions? What Functions Can Be Booked And When?

(a) US embassy Dhaka Officers and ARA club members may reserve these facilities for private functions.
(b)Reservation priority is given Embassy and club functions.

(c)All room reservation s require approval of ARA Club management.

(d)The facilities may not be reserved for commercial, profit making ventures, such as a trade promotion or a member ‘ s profit-making business. Exceptions can be made for ventures that are in the interest of the U. S. Government. A committee consisting of the Board chairman, Ambassador’ s Representative and the General Manager will decide such exceptions.

(e)The rooms will not be available for rental on Thursday evenings after 1600.

Rental Fees

Rental fees are assessed on an hourly basis partial hours are charged as full hours. Rental fees are waived for official US embassy functions. However, the staff support services will be assessed as usual.

Free schedule:

Bougainvillea Room: $10/hour+staff support services.
Restaurant: $5/hour+ staff supports services
Outpost Pub: $50+ staff supports services
Rooftop: $30+ staff supports services

To book a Function

(a) Request a booking with the office, explaining the intended use of the room. You may be requested to fill out a special form.
(b) A full guest list of participants must be submitted no less than the day before the function. For people on the guest list who are not ARA members, please provide the nationality of the guest fee will be charged for function participants.
(c) The manager must approve all final arrangements at least 48 hours before the event. The Club Board reserves the right to disallow, suspend, or cancel any activity for due cause.

General Rules

(a) Non-members participants must provide a valid photo ID (for expat club card) to gain entry for function. The Club reserves the right to refuse entry if a proper I.D. is not presented.

(b) The responsible party for the event must be present before non-ARA club member participants will be allowed entry to the Club and must escort the participants at all times.

(c) The participants are expected to remain in the area schedules for the activity (i.e.. Bougainvillea Room).

(d) The leader of the activity is responsible for ensuring that all non-club member participants leave the grounds immediately after the activity is schedule to end unless other arrangements have been made by special permission from the General Manager.

(e) The Club kitchen and staff may be used with prior approval from Club Management.

(f) The room may be decorated with prior approval from club Management The responsible member must remove all decorations as soon as possible after the event.

(g) The member who booked the room is responsible for any loss or damage to Club property, beyond normal wear and tear. The club is not responsible for any breakage or theft of property belonging to members or their guests.
